Sony fortifies PSN with two-step verification
Sony is fortifying its PlayStation Network online service with the addition of two-step verification for player accounts. Come from Soccer 13 pools and matches
The two-step process adds an extra layer of security by asking for two passwords — a verification code sent to an authorized mobile phone and a user's original account details — whenever someone tries to sign in on a connected device.
It's hoped the new measure will act as a second line of defence in the event of account information being "compromised," as it was during 2011's infamous hack.
